Titanium Needs for Airframe Structures

Abstract: Han Kecen Male, birth in July, 1961, graduated from Northwestern Polytechnic University in July, 1982, worked in Aircraft Structure Design and Research Department as a Designer, Deputy Director, Director, Deputy Chief Designer, President Assistant in First Aircraft Institute of AVIC from 1982.7 to 2009.5, and now, in SADRI, COMAC, as Vice President and Chief Executive in large passenger aircraft project.

Invited Speaker: Titanium alloy exhibits high the ratio of strength to density and good resistance corrosion property and mostly applied on aviation and aerospace industry. The paper puts forward the applied area and products of Titanium alloy on C919 aircraft, which emphasized the difference and application between Ti-6Al-4V annealed forging and Ti-6Al-4V ELI β-annealed forging. The prospect of the laser melting deposition of titanium alloy powder in C919 aircraft is also introduced.
